Rolling Stones Caution VERY RARE VINTAGE ORIGINAL 1969 ALTAMONT CONCERT POSTER. This is an extremely rare and elusive Rolling Stones poster from 1969 that was printed in the Bay Area of California just prior to the Stones playing their infamous Altamont show on December 6th, 1969. The Stones played five shows in California (in Los Angeles, Oakland and San Diego) in November of 1969, just prior to the Altamont show. This poster was made to commemorate the Stones California dates on the tour (hence CAL 11/69). Needless to say, the subject matter of the poster is quite an amazing foreshadowing for the events that transpired. A copy of this poster is currently on exhibit in the Exhibitionism: The Rolling Stones touring gallery thats currently in Las Vegas see pics at right. To the exhibit website. The poster was printed by John McCleary Productions. McCleary was a Bay Area based graphic designer who did a number of head shop prints and posters around that era. This poster is in stunning MINT condition – its absolutely flawless. The corners and borders are sharp and the colors are bright with no fading – its been well stored since its printing in 69, safely away from light and the sun.
