BG-61 Buffalo Springfield 1967. Fillmore Auditorium Concert Poster Graded 9.6. First-printing San Francisco concert poster for Buffalo Springfield, the Steve Miller Blues Band and Freedom Highway playing at the Fillmore Auditorium on Friday through Sunday nights, April 28-30, 1967. Designed by Wes Wilson and known as BG-61 in the Bill Graham numbered series, this poster was graded a very strong 9.6 Near Mint Plus by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company). This weekend’s shows took place the month after ATCO Records had re-released Buffalo Springfield’s first album, this time including the hit single For What It’s Worth. The move paid off, as that 45 had just concluded its run as the group’s biggest and only Top 10 hit. Second-billed Steve Miller Blues Band would soon drop “Blues” from their name. It was the following year, 1968, that Miller started his recording career for Capitol Records. And Freedom Highway, a journeyman San Francisco band who did some recording in 1968-69 but never issued any records, was the third-billed act. This specimen was designated as BG-61-OP-1 by the Eric King poster guide, for the shade of its yellow/chartreuse coloring. Measures 14″ x 21 1/2″. For sale is an ORIGINAL 1971 Fleetwood Mac Concert Poster advertising their performance at the Gardens Auditorium in Vancouver, British Columbia, on February 10, 1971. This historic piece captures a pivotal moment in Fleetwood Mac’s history, during a transitional time for the band. Dimensions: 14 7/8 inches x 22 1/2 inches. Design: Black, green, and white design featuring an image of the band with Fleetwood Mac prominently displayed in bold lettering. Event Date: Wednesday, February 10, 1971. Venue: Gardens Auditorium, Vancouver, BC, Canada. Material: Thick cardboard stock with a matte finish, plain cardboard verso. Series: Washington Poster Co. This is an original pre-concert first printing (OP-1) Fleetwood Mac concert poster from 1971. Restoration work has been performed, including light color touch-up near Christine McVie’s image. The poster shows toning, particularly along the borders and reverse side, consistent with its age. Minor surface wear present, including small areas of discoloration and edge wear. Light restoration to enhance overall eye appeal, specifically on Christine McVie’s section of the image. Vibrant colors and bold text remain well-preserved. Plain cardboard verso displays visible toning and areas of staining, including some darker patches along the top. No tears or pinholes are present. Minor corner wear and slight softening around the edges. Overall, this poster retains excellent structural integrity and strong visual appeal. Historical Context: This concert took place during a turbulent period for Fleetwood Mac. At the time, Christine McVie had only officially joined the band less than a year prior. During this tour, guitarist Jeremy Spencer left the band suddenly, claiming he was going out to “get a magazine” but instead joined a religious cult. His abrupt departure left Fleetwood Mac scrambling to complete the tour, eventually calling on former guitarist Peter Green to fill in temporarily. Later in 1971, the band released their fifth studio album. Marking another evolution in their lineup and sound. Highly collectible original poster from a historic Fleetwood Mac performance in Vancouver.
