Original Vintage 1977 Concert Poster. Live concert – National Orange Auditorium – San Bernardino, California. Thursday evening, August 11, 1977. An original cardboard window card advertising Motown’s great Marvin Gaye performing at the National Orange Auditorium in San Bernardino, California on Thursday evening, August 11, 1977. This poster somewhat resembles what the Tilghman company would have printed out of Oakland, but instead it was done by Sentury Printing (Oakland, Ca). Uses a’split-fountain’ inking technique which has the top half of the poster printed in black, and then morphing down into red for the bottom half. Overall Dimensions: 17″ x 22″. Made of light cardboard. Overall in Terrific Shape w/ a couple of small creases and some slight light wear probably occurring when it was displayed in a store window back in 1977 advertising the upcoming show. There is also one tiny indention on the front side (doesn’t go all the way through to backside) on the “O” in Orange towards the bottom left side of poster (see pic).
