This is an original authentic (printed before the concert) handbill / flyer advertising. BIRDLAND STARS OF’57 starring. Billy Eckstine, COUNT BASIE and his ORCHESTRA featuring Joe Williams. SARAH VAUGHAN , Jeri Southern, Bud Powell Trio, Phineas Newborn Quartet, CHET BAKER , Terry Gibbs Quartet, LESTER YOUNG , Seldon Powell, ZOOT SIMS, Rolf Kuhn, Jimmy Jones, Richard Davis, Ray Haynes appearing March 10, 1957 at Memorial Hall in Dayton, Ohio. The handbill measures 6 x 9 inches and is in VG++ condition. At one time it was folded in quarters but has been flat for a long time so it displays beautifully. There are some very faint stains at the top center. There is a small stain on the right center edge that are visible on the back but don’t show through to the front.
