Extremely rare large original first printing concert poster advertising legendary The Clash at the Musikhalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Tuesday, 12th May, 1981, presented by Karsten Jahnke in cooperation with Lippmann+Rau. The Hamburg concert was part of the group’s tour of continental Europe. In support of the. Album – their fourth studio album, produced by the band and Mikey Dread and released on 12th December, 1981 as a triple album containing 36 tracks, with 6 songs on each side. The title refers to the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, and its catalogue number,’FSLN1′, refers to the abbreviation of the party’s Spanish name, Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional. The poster measures 60.0 x 83.8 cm approx. 23.6? By 33? Inches and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. An original concert poster that was used to promote the Sex Pistols, Damned and Clash performance that was due to take place at the Charlton (Should have been Charter) Theatre, Preston on 10th December 1976 as part of the Anarchy In The UK 1976 tour. This date had already been rescheduled as a replacement for a concert in Lancaster that was cancelled after the groups infamous foul mouthed rant on the TV show Today With Bill Grundy. The poster measures 51cm x 76cm (20 inches x 30 inches). There are pinholes to all corners and wear and tear to the edges. The lower left corner is missing a very small section and there is a 4cm (1.5 inch tear) to the right edge which has been repaired with tape on the reverse. The condition is very good minus. The first item is charged at the normal rate. Our Grading System Explained. Mint = As new. Near Mint = Almost like new with one or two very minor flaws. Excellent = Minor wear yet looks attractive and is perfectly usable. Very Good = Some wear and tear but overall presentable and usable. Good = Apparent wear and tear but with obvious deterioration of the condition. Poor = Extremely worn. A plus or minus after the grading indicates that the condition is marginally higher or lower than the stated grade.
