+++ 1971 DEEP PURPLE Concert “blank” Poster Germany 1st print. Deep Purple used the motiv from the album “In Rock” for the European/Germany concerts in 1970 and 1971. The 1971 posters were printed with a yellow bottom area to make the respective date, concert hall, ticket information etc. This poster is a so-called “blank” poster: the relevant information about the concert was later printed in the yellow area. Blank posters are popular collector’s items because the graphic design is not “disturbed by inharmonic lines of text”. 23 x 33 inch / 60 x 84 cm. Here we have an original, thick paper concert poster for Deep Purple and Malo on July 6, 1972, at the Salem OR. The poster measures 23 x 14 and is in exceptional condition considering it is more than 45 years old now. Fantastic lettering and an amazing picture of DP at their Machine Head zenith – all rendered in dazzling purple. There is a tiny bit of paper loss in the bottom right hand corner, minimal staple damage in the top two corners from where it was pulled off whatever it had been stapled to and a 1/2 inch clean tear at the top.
