This was from the personal collection of Paul Williams who was a lifelong Memphian & Memphis music historian spanning all genres, in particular the blues band NRBQ. Paul owned AUDIOMANIA Records in Midtown Memphis, which was a local record hot-spot for 33 years. He also had his own radio show on WEVL here in Memphis and that ran for 43 years. As a younger man, he was an usher at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco during the late 70’s, when every rock-n-roll icon of the time was performing there nightly, he was even lucky enough to attend Bob Dylan’s two-week run of shows in 1979! After coming back to Memphis he worked at record Mecca, Pop Tunes, before opening Audiomania. Everything listed here from Paul, was either in his shop or in his personal collection at home. The graphic is directly stamped on this poster paper (screen print)… You can feel the actual paint! This is a 13×20 cardstock/poster paper material. The STATE RADIO music poster is a limited edition SS displayed vinyl rolled music poster measuring approximately 35×55 inches. This poster is in near mint condition. It was used for a backlit display at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles for what was the band’s show on January 15, 2010. PLEASE NOTE – The graphic artist made an end of the year error when creating the poster artwork as the year on the poster (2009) was covered up with a magic marker. The actual year was 2010. The poster has some minor vinyl speckles/Blotches on the image and a few indentations but overall it is in near mint condition. IMPORTANT: Please see close up of images for more detail. Mint (M) is a poster that has never been used or displayed. May show extremely minor signs of age. Folded posters may show very minimal wear at the folds due to storage. The posters should have no holes, no tears and no paper loss. Near Mint (NM) is a poster that appears fresh and lightly used, with saturated colors. Vintage original concert poster from the first two nights of the Radio Clash tour at the Apollo Theatre in Manchester on October 5th and 6th, 1981. Measures 40″ x 29-7/8″. Poster shows some wear/creasing on the edges, a small crease on the upper left above the “LL” in “APOLLO” and a small tear on the right side that has been repaired with tape on the back.
