This is an original authentic (printed before the concert) cardboard boxing style concert poster advertising. JOHN MAYALL with Duster Bennett, and ZEPHYR (featuring the legendary guitarist TOMMY BOLIN in one of his last appearances in Zephyr). Appearing on February 20, 1971 at the Seattle Center Arena in Seattle, Washington. Tommy Bolin’s last appearance as a member of Zephyr was March 5th, 1971, just two weeks after this show! The Dorsey Brothers Orchestra during the Great Depression was a whos who of jazz musicians playing around New York City. With a number of no. 1 recordings and at the height of their popularity in the 1930s, Tommy Dorsey decided to start his own orchestra. Both brothers were highly successful on their own, but reunited in 1953. During this time, they played Nebraskas Terrytown Arena on September 15th. A year later, the brothers would host a variety show on CBS called Stage Show , which included Elvis Presleys first national TV appearance. This original poster, measuring 14 1/8 x 21 3/4, is on thick cardboard similar to other boxing style posters. This poster is in remarkable MINT condition, with no pinholes, tears, or creases. And it has vibrant and rich colors. This is a magnificent big band poster!
