Grande Ballroom 1967 MC5 Signed Gary Grimshaw Fillmore Era Concert Poster
The Grande Ballroom opened its doors in October of 1966, with Russ Gibb presenting the MC5 and Chosen Few. S favorite band of the 1960s, was a Grande Ballroom house band. Their frontman, Rob Tyner, introduced Gibb to poster artist Gary Grimshaw, who quickly became the house poster artist. Having illustrated the majority of posters during the Grandes first year in business, Grimshaw designed this poster four days in January 1967 that included the MC5, The Trees, Scottys Group, The Passing Clouds, The Plague, C-Water Blues, and Verpor Highway Band. This original poster, measuring 14 3/8 x 21 1/8, is on uncoated paper stock. It has been signed in silver ink by artist Gary Grimshaw in the bottom right corner. The poster is in mint condition and would be an excellent addition to any collection.
