Stubbs BBQ, Austin, TX. Concert Poster by Jermaine Rogers. Signed and Numbered Edition. Is most widely known as one of the leaders in the field of modern rock poster art. This involves the creating and production of promotional poster artwork featuring concerts, musical events, and musical releases by certain rock and roll artists. Jermaine Rogers has created these pieces of advertising since the year 1994. By 1996, due to growing workloads and collectible popularity in this field, Rogers abandoned his secular job to pursue the creation of poster art on a full-time basis. For the last few years, Jermaine has chosen to concentrate more on fine art, design, and other personal pursuits. Jermaine has designed nearly 800 posters for a wide variety of musical acts, including RADIOHEAD, NEIL YOUNG, TOOL, WEEZER, TORI AMOS, DAVID BOWIE, THE DEFTONES, THE MELVINS and literally hundreds of others. The Strokes are an American rock band from New York, consisting of Julian Casablancas (lead vocals), Nick Valensi (guitar, backing vocals), Albert Hammond, Jr. (guitar, backing vocals), Nikolai Fraiture (bass guitar) and Fabrizio Moretti (drums, percussion). Upon the release of their debut album Is This It in 2001, the group met much critical acclaim. Since then, the band has maintained a large fan base all over the world, most notably in the United States, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Canada, France, Brazil and Australia. A number of members have embarked on a variety of side projects, although a fourth album, entitled Angles, was released on March 22, 2011. They are one of the most prominent indie-rock bands to hail from the US at the dawn of the 21st century and helped start the garage rock revival movement. Is This It was ranked number 199 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The Moldy Peaches were an indie group founded by Adam Green and Kimya Dawson. Leading proponents of the anti-folk scene, the band has been on hiatus since 2004. The appearance of their song “Anyone Else but You” in the film Juno has significantly raised their profile; Dawson and Green made a handful of reunion appearances together in December 2007. Original SIGNED and numbered limited edition Concert Poster by Jermaine Rogers for an October 23rd, 2001 Strokes concert in Austin, TX! A cartoonish portrait of the band alongside what looks like a parody of a Thundercats character. The poster is in excellent condition. Performers: The Strokes & Moldy Peaches. Signed by the JERMAINE.
