This is a great piece for any loyal B-52’s and/or Frank Kozik art fan. This is a 14″ by 17″ vintage ORIGINAL pen & ink artwork by Frank Kozik for the B-52’s Official After Show Party at World in Austin, TX created by him in 1989, which is where Frank lived. This is one of his early pieces, which never turn up for sale anymore. His early pieces are also known for being black & white, where he moved into using color later in career. 100% guaranteed original and authentic, excellent / near mint condition. This is not a reproduction or print, this is the actual original piece that Frank made. It’s absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorite pieces. This piece is almost 30 years old, and it’s incredible. The poster has been professionally matted & framed with a beautiful black & silver frame, silver matting, which really compliments the piece. It has UV protective glass. And a wire on the back for hanging. Inside the frame it is 22 1/2″ and 16 1/2″. The actual artwork is 14″ by 17″. I can also arrange local pick-up. Frank Kozik was born in Madrid, Spain in 1962. At the age of 14 he moved to the United States and settled in Austin, Texas. Credited with single handedly reviving the lost art of the concert poster, his creative career rose largely out of his enthusiasm for Austins growing underground punk rock scene in the mid-eighties. Starting with black and white flyers for friends bands posted on telephone poles, his reputation grew as an artist whose work was graphically compelling as well as culturally gripping.
