They celebrated with over 50,000 home fans in Paírc Uí Chaoimh. The GAA took measures to protect the pitch in Paírc Uí Chaoimh with an aluminium mesh on the ground near the giant stage. Support acts included UB40, The Dubliners and The Subterraneans. Fans were treated to a quarter of a million watts from a hundred giant speakers.
