Having played his final show on British soil at the Isle of wight Festival on 30th August, a week later he appeared at the Open Air Love & Peace Festival in Insel Fehmarn, Germany, for what turned out to be his final gig. This festival also featured Sly & The Family Stone, Taste (with Rory Gallagher), Ten Years After, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Ginger Baker’s Air Force, Peter Green, Procol Harum, Rod Stewart & The Faces, Alexis Korner, The Incredible String Band, Colosseum, and others.
