Presented for your consideration this absolutely gorgeous vintage concert poster created by Sixties legend Rick Griffin for a concert performance by The Doors with Jim Morrison at the Family Dog in Denver, Colorado on December 29th, 30th, and 31st, 1967. This New Years Eve poster is known as. “Space Man” and is featured in the Art of Rock. This copy was printed just after the show. Measuring 12.656″ X 21.75″ this beauty remains in Excellent condition. There are a few tiny pin holes that can barely be seen from the back. It’s a stunning copy that’s never been rolled. Concert Poster 14x 20 Vanilla Fudge Avalon Ballroom 1967 Charles Loyd Family Dog. This 1st printing poster displays the ticket outlets strip in black. It was printed before the concert and measures 14″ x 20″. Born in Detroit, Stanley Miller became known as “Mouse” after illustrating countless notebooks with his signature rodent sketch. Miller found an outlet for his creativity in pin-striping cars and airbrushing hot rod designs on posters and T-shirts. Mouse migrated to San Francisco in 1964, where he first met the artists associated with Family Dog, the organization producing dance concerts at the Avalon Ballroom. With collaborator Alton Kelley, Mouse experimented broadly with composition, lettering and imagery: Kelley came up with the ideas and Mouse executed the designs. Mouse and Kelley helped to establish the psychedelic style of expression under the name Mouse Studios. Time Honored Vintage Terms of Service. 1973 Sly And The Family Stone, at Berkeley Community Theater Original Concert Poster Tribune Showprint. This is an original boxing style broadside printed on cardstock by Tribune Showprint Inc. Earl Park IND as noted along the bottom. It is 14? X 22? Featuring a great Photo of Sly Stone. The poster has wear and pin holes from when it was hung and some tape marks on the back. This is a super rare poster that would be a fantastic addition to any rock memorabilia collection.
