The Who/Grateful Dead Oakland Stadium Concert Poster (Bill Graham, 1976). What a monumental pairing of two incredible bands! Pete Townsend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon — the original Who line-up — joined the stage with Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, and company for two nights in Oakland that will never be repeated. The graphics for this eye-catching poster were provided by Philip Garris (not Rick Griffin, as we earlier believed), and his tombstone-like design has an owl perched upon a human skull festooned with roses. The poster measures approximately 20″ x 28.5″, and is in NM condition. It postdates Graham’s series of numbered posters, and the Tea Lautrec printer’s credit at bottom center verifies this as a first printing.
