“This is an ORIGINAL FIRST print poster (14″x20) that was used to promote a series of shows featuring the Charlatans & Moby Grape. These shows took place Feb. 24 & 25, 1967 at the historic Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. This terrific psychedelic image, “Neptune’s Notion, ” was designed by Victor Moscoso, and is referred to as FD 49 in the Family Dog series. This beautiful poster is in EXCELLENT condition, and would frame beautifully. Framed 17.25″x21.5″. This item is a Near Mint condition Poster for an Avalon Ballroom show in San Francisco, California. This dance featured The Avalon “House Band”, Big Brother & The Holding Company (Janis Joplin’s Band), The Amazing Charlatans (W/ Dan Hicks) and Rising Sons. These shows took place 5/6 & 7/66. It is approximately 14.5″x20″ in size. It is in Near Mint condition. Classic Image and lettering with great artwork by Wes Wilson & Daily Flash. This is the version used by the San Francisco Poster Co. And is quite different to the first printing! They used the classic red and blue inks that make your eyes jump! It is Very Psychedelic! This one is in Eric King’s Guide as FD-7-PP-5. This poster is in Near Mint Condition.
