Ultra-Rare! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN Original 1975 Concert Poster #2
This is an authentic SUPER-RARE! Original (printed BEFORE the concert) poster advertising a pair of concerts in 1975. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and the’e’ street band – July 18-19, 1975. Appearing at the Geneva Theater in Geneva, NY. The poster is actually an unused untrimmed promotional poster for the album Greetings From Asbury Park that had the concert information ink stamped on the white space at the bottom and then hand written on the bottom left it says “In Concert” and on the right it says “Tickets at Midland Records” which was the local record store in Geneva. Because Bruce and the band were late finishing recording Born To Run the concert dates were first changed to July 18 and 19 this poster has the dates hand changed by hand from the 11th and 12th to the 18th and 19th. I have the frist version of the poster, that was printed on an uncut promo for The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Band and the unchaged dates of the 11th and 12th listed separately. The shows were then again bumped to July 22 (only one show) and was the second show on the famous BORN TO RUN tour. In all my years I have only ever seen one other copy of this poster. Measures 24 x 28 inches and is in VG+ condition with some wrinkles and creases as shown in my photos of the poster and a single tackhole in each corner. The Clash Bonds International Casino Guaranteed Original 1981 Concert Poster
The Clash “Bond’s International Casino” Vintage Original Ist Pre-Concert Item. The 1st printing was on Matt Paper and the second printing for the rescheduled following concert was on glossy paper. The site of the concerts was formerly Bonds department store which had been converted into a large second-floor hall. Promoters kept the name because there was a large Bonds sign on the outside of the building. Had not yet broken out into mass popularity, eight shows were originally scheduled: 28, 29, 30, 31 May and 1, 2, 3 and 5 June 1981. However, given the venue’s legal capacity limit of 1750, the series was blatantly oversold (3500) right from the first night, leading the New York City Fire Department. To cancel the Saturday, 30 May performance. In response, the band condemned the brazen greed of the promoters while demonstrating unprecedented integrity to each and every ticketholder by doubling the original booking with a total of 17 dates extending through June. This concert was part of The Groups 17 shows in three weeks to support “Sandinista” Album, the opening bands included the Fall, the Slits, the Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, and Bush Tetras – the whole kit and caboodle. ORIGINAL 1963 BOB DYLAN SYRACUSE CONCERT POSTER. At the University Regent Theatre on November 3, 1963. Early Bob Dylan posters are some of the most sought-after pieces in the hobby, as well as being some of the rarest. This concert took place on November 3, 1963 at the University Regent Theatre in Syracuse, New York. On October 24, 1963 Bob Dylan had just written “Times They Are A-Changin’ ” so it is quite possible that Dylan may have sung it for the first time at this concert. The show was produced by the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) and it is one of only a few pieces that tie Dylan with the Civil Rights movement. While reflecting on his own songwriting during this early folk era. Just weeks after this concert on November 22, 1963 John F. The concert was presented by The Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), and it exhibits a direct connection between Dylan and the Civil Rights movement. Bob Dylan is the greatest lyrical wordsmith of the past 100 years, and his recently awarded Nobel Prize was well deserved.
