Grateful Dead’s ” A Swell Dance” Concert which took place at the Nasseau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York This tour took place between Grateful Dead’s tour of Europe in early 1972 and their release of “Wake of the Flood” (November, 1973). The art work and desgin was created by David Byrd, who with his architectural training, powerful linework and sense of dimension and balance, Byrd said his understanding of symmetry… Led [me] right up to Art Nouveau. Add to that my LSD experiences, and it all connected up somehow. Byrd’s credits include concert poster designs for Jimi Hendrix, the Who, the Grateful Dead, movie posters for Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar, posters for The Pasadena Playhouse productions, cover art for TV Guide, and work for Warner Bros. It Measures 25″ X 38″. It is in Excellent to Near Mint Condition containing signs of fading, repaired rips and tattered edges(See Photo) (C9- C10). That reprint measures 20 3/8″ x 30 7/8″ this is definitely not that that one. Item has been Kept Flat, in a Smoke, Dust, and UV Light Free storage facility for over 45 years that has allowed the Colors to retain their Brilliancy without fading.
